They Say I’m CRAZY… My Cold Water Immersion Experiment

So, one of my favourite places to go when I take 5 minutes to recharge my batteries is the pool!

However, although it remains one of my favourite places all year round, I tend not to swim during the colder months.

Makes sense right? I mean, who the heck swims outdoors in November?!

I may live in Spain but I’ve acclimatised by now and feel the chilly air creeping in as winter approaches.

(Unless of course you’re on holiday, which I’m not…)

For me, it’s darn COLD outside!!

But, to my surprise… I’m actually about to go for a quick swim right now!

Think I’m crazy? Most of my neighbours do!!

I did this yesterday and forced myself to jump into the pool to make getting in that bit easier…

And my gosh, I was FREEZING!

But guess what?

It proved to be EXHILARATING!

I got out of the water feeling so pumped and energized!

Tony Robbins starts his day off by plunging into a 57-degree Fahrenheit pool of water.

I’ve learned that cold water immersion actually activates the body’s natural healing powers and can relieve symptoms of many medical conditions as well as a promote a sense of health and well-being.

I plan on practicing this a couple of times a week over the winter months and will continue to document my progress…

Let’s call it ‘My Cold Water Immersion Experiment’.

I mean, if it’s good enough for Tony Robbins, it’s good enough for me!!

I’m excited about this challenge and enjoying the benefits of pushing myself out of my comfort zone…

Just after yesterday’s test I can already tell that I’m going to benefit a whole lot from it!
